Fatima was born in 1932 in Baccarat, a city in Mesopotamia that had been home to great civilizations, the Prophet Noah and his family, and the land of the legendary love story of Mem and Zin. Fatima grew up in a house with a large garden near the Tigris River. She loved watering the flowers in this garden; getting lost among the bushes, roses, and various plants; and forgetting the scorching summer heat there.
